Que relações de cooperação são possíveis entre a família e a escola?

Resumo

O relato descreve uma experiência realizada em escolas do Estado de Pernambuco pelo Serviço de Tecnologia Alternativa (SERTA). O intuito dessa experiência foi estabelecer relações de cooperação entre família e escola, a partir do convite feito às famílias de meios rurais para que levassem à escola o conhecimento ligado a sua rotina doméstica e ao trabalho no campo, para que esse conhecimento pudesse ser complementado com o saber científico da instituição. O resultado foi uma mudança na relação dos pais com a escola, e na relação dos pais com os filhos que estudam, pois estes passaram a discutir e a fazer juntos ações debatidas na escola e na propriedade rural em que vivem.

Abstract

The report describes an experience done at schools in the state of Pernambuco by the Alternative Technology Service (Serviço de Tecnologia Alternativa - SERTA). The purpose of this experience was to establish cooperative relations between family and school, by inviting rural families to bring their know-how related to their domestic routine and field work to the school, so that this knowledge could be complemented with the institution's scientific knowledge. The result was a change in the relationship parents had with the school, and in the relationship parents had with the kids that went to school, since they began to discuss and carry out the actions debated at the school and on the rural properties where they live together.
